I’m a lawyer, policy advisor, researcher and teacher based in India. My core areas of interest are privacy, platforms and artificial intelligence. I study the impact of technology on society, and advise governments, businesses and civil society. I enjoy spicy food, mellow music and the mountains.

What I’m working on

🖋️ Research

I do research, write papers, organise roundtables and speak at events.

I’m a non-resident research fellow at Carnegie India, NITI Aayog, and the Center for Responsible AI at IIT Madras.

📶 Consulting

I specialise in tech policy and advise clients on what is happening and how to navigate it.

I run my own practice called Qualia Consulting and am a senior advisor with Flint.

I work with a trusted network of experts built over a decade in this space including government officials, industry execs, startup founders, academics, journalists and activists.

🎓 Teaching

I help students build a career in technology law and public policy.

I am a visiting professor at the National Law School of India University. where I teach a course called “AI Policy: Technology, Markets and Regulation’ and an intro course called “The Principles and Practice of Tech Policy”
